The Irish Band Clannad did the music for the 
series - Robin the Hooded
Man is the theme song.   For those of you with a 
mid-eastern bent this is
the first entry of a Saracen into the Robin Hood 
legend I believe and he
is a series regular, using double scimitars and 
throwing knives.

In America you had to be aware in the mid 1980's 
and able to watch Showtime
then to see it as it was a Showtime program.  In 
the later episodes Praed
is replaced by Jason Connery, Sean Connery's son. 
   The episode I most
remember of the whole thing is Robin [Praed] 
pitted against the Sheriff's
men alone on a hilltop.   That one was pretty good 
[in my opinion].

Previous to now there were 4 mini-movies released 
and then available only
on old VHS tapes if you could find them.  I bought 
a PAL version in order
to collect it two or three years ago in DVD.  PAL 
is what is generally used
outside the US and Canada.  Now it is available in 
NTSC for them.  It has
been at least 20 years since they played here in 
North America.
Old SCAdians probably enjoyed it.
