	Greetings!

	Our secretary sent the following:
Billings Pops Orchestra members gathered at John Baber's home on
August 31 for burgers and potluck and the annual meeting.
This year's officers, by unanimous vote are:
Jacquie Ziegler, President Cathy Fiene, Vice President Julie
Solberg, Treasurer Julie Methot, Secretary
We discussed possible locations for concerts. Cisel Hall and the
library community room are possible with enough advance notice.
Alberta Bair and Babcock both have prohibitive fees, and would require
much effort of fundraising, selling ads, etc. which would be more
effort than anyone seemed interested in doing. St Luke's is always an
option. The concert this past spring was well-received there.
John Baber advised us to keep our calendars open for the second
week of July 2019, as the Model T Association will be in Billings for
a week-long event, including a banquet at the First Congregational
Church downtown.
Themes for concerts were discussed - perhaps a water- themed
concert with Water Music by Handel and a few others in our library;
New music that had been discussed included Dark Adventures, the
Cossack March from the Lion's Symphony, Grieg's March of the Dwarves,
Schubert's 8th Symphony, Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky, Forever Free
from Traviata. Gymnopedia 1 by Satie, and Rosin-Eating Monsters (for a
possible Halloween Concert) were also suggested.
President Jacquie Ziegler invited comment and suggestions for dates
and concert themes to be emailed to her. The meeting was adjourned.

   Respectfully submitted, Julie Methot, Secretary
