Here is the proposed calendar I put together last week:<br /><br /><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Proposed
Calendar for
Billings Pops Orchestra for the 2015 – 2016 Season</span></p><p></p>

2015:</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br />
Early August – Music
Committee meets to discuss selections for the Fall and Christmas
Concerts</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br />
August – Jacquie has filing
cabinets to donate to John to hold music, they should be
available by
mid-August. Once they are delivered then there will need to be a
couple of work
sessions sort and re-file music. This will be scheduled sometime
during the
summer, depending on John’s availability.</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br />
September 3 – Potluck at
John’s House to kick-off the year. Music suggestions will be
considered as well
as the annual board member vote. Any other things that need to
be discussed
will be announced before the potluck.</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br />
September 10 – start fall
rehearsals on Thursdays at St Luke’s. Doors to the practice hall
will be open
by 6:30 – 6:15 if the weather is cold/snowy – and baton down at

October 29 or Nov 3 – two
possible Fall Concert dates. Could be held at the Library, could
be done at St
Luke’s – completely up to the orchestra as to venue.</span></p><p></p>

Dec 6? – Voices of Christmas
concert with the Shrine Chanters</span></p><p></p>

Dec 10? – maybe a nursing home
performance? After that, Holiday Break</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;">During the break
we should
have a Music Committee meeting to discuss the Spring concert
playlist. We will
also need to hold a board meeting – these may happen together
they may be
separate. It will depend a great deal on people’s schedules.</span></p><p></p>

2016:</span></p><p></p>

Jan 7- Start rehearsals
again.</span></p><p></p>

Start promoting the Red Lodge
Music Festival Scholarship – update the website and the
application with the
proper dates for early registration, etc.</span></p><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br />
April 28 or May 5 – Two
possible Spring Concert. Dates. Again, venue and music quite
open at this time.</span></p><p></p>
