If you ever get down to the Carolingia/Quintavia area, the press described is on display at the American Antiquarian Society in Worcester MA. You will want to make an appointment, but they're usually happy to show it off.

Though superficially quite similar in appearance, the action is actually quite unlike earlier presses, which used a screw instead of a toggle. And of course, the toggle was improved over time.
