Is a RPoD like an iPod?

Or is it like that period rolling pin somebody posted on the Pelican list,
with the decoration -- including a pelican in her piety -- carved into it?

(And, just so my silliness *does* relate to this list, the rolling pin was
made of PEARWOOD, recently discussed here as being good for woodcuts.)
