Beautiful!
Odd caption, though: "House of Books" ???
I'm sure they meant "book of hours"... 8-)

Subject: [EKStationers] New manuscript acquisitions at Penn

With apologies to those who get this more than once:

The second article on this page --

http://www.upenn.edu/almanac/volumes/v53/n25/equus.html

-- was brought to my attention yesterday; it details the University of
Pennsylvania's acquisition of three manuscripts. One is a 15th c. Book of
Hours from France (use of Rouen), one is a ca. 1350 psalter, and one is a
glossed psalter (a psalter with running commentary.)

I emailed the curator for a date on the glossed psalter and access info for
the collection:

>The glossed psalter is circa 1100; it may be consulted in the
>Rare Book & Manuscript Library from Monday through Friday, 9-5.
>All that is needed is a current photo id. The call number for
>the glossed psalter is Ms. Codex 1058.

*glee* I think I need to find myself some white cotton gloves.

Don't tell my parents I'm in the SCA --
They think I'm running guns for a biker gang.
