HI, Nicole, Thanks  you so much for the references.  We have a few books about Welsh History and language.  A few years ago we went to Wales for a few days after visiting old friends in the Cotswolds/Coventry parts of England (our kids were in a Boy Scout exchange program in junior high school).  We were prompted to visit Wales by our son and his wife naming their kids Colwynne and Snowdon--they had a sort of honeymoon in Wales  and always had a predilection towards Welsh names.   I wonder how much influence the time spent in the Salzburg, Austria area had on Welsh language, as I noticed some French and German roots when I tried to crack the Welsh code--I didn't get very far.   Loving Salzburg as I do (we vacationed there many times when my husband was in the US military and we lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (that was over 40 years ago). I think we discovered former lives in the area, as we are addicted to waltzes, and the city always felt familiar. Anyway, now we are hoping to know more about Wales, brush up on German language and rusty  French, plus my husband hopes to learn how to make so many of the baked goods he loves to eat!
