Do you mean modern paints on paper? Linda Owens PS I have a lot to learn about medieval techniques still.

Hey everyone,

I've kicked off a project some time in the making. Artists in the Midrealm will be making a book from the ground up -- making the parchment, the ink, the paints, composing the texts, scribing and illuminating and painting, and binding the book with home-processed linen. Two books, actually -- one all period on parchment, one using modern pains on paper. These will be ready in one year, in time for the SCA 50th Anniversary. To check in on our progress, visit "Calf to Codex" on Facebook.

So is there anyone in the East who will step up to the plate and do the same for the Eastrealm?
