MAKING WORKSHOP<BR>>For those who are interested, Jesse Meyer will be
offering another<BR>>parchment making workshop the Spring of 2007. It will
be a two day <BR>>event held May 18th and 19th at The Meyer Family Tannery
and Jesse's<BR>>studio, in Montgomery New York. It will
include:<BR>> - Demonstrations of initial wetwork. (dehairing,
fleshing, etc.)<BR>> - Soaking and hands on stretching of a
calfskin and a goatskin. <BR>> - Scraping, sanding and
finishing of the skins of your choice.<BR>>Each participant will go home
with a fair colored calfskin,a<BR>>goatskin, dyed a color of your choice,
and probably some dirty<BR>>clothes. The cost of the workshop will be $225
(which will include <BR>>the cost of the raw skins). These workshops have
always been a blast<BR>>for all involved, as well as being an in-depth
education and an<BR>>opportunity to purchase parchment and vellum at the
