[Sca-librarians] OT OOP Looking for a hat pattern

Please forgive the off topic request,  but since so many here are in 
Research specialists I thought someone might have a lead for me.  One 
of my faculty (Ph.D who cooks, shares, picks up trader joes for me when 
she 
travels,) is looking for a pattern (sewing type) so she can make a 6-
sided tam that may be worn at graduations in place of the plain boring 
mortarboard.  

Any suggestions (website with pattern or place to purchase a sewing not 
knitted pattern) would be very much appreciated.
