Message-ID: <20081003.233102.4820.37.SilverOak@juno.com> Greetings, I need a bit of help, and I'm not sure where to start.... Over a dozen years ago, there was a one-page article in the back of a National Geographic about one of the monasteries in England that was shut down by Henry VIII. They'd just opened it up again, and when the restorers turned over the soil in the garden, plants that the monks had planted started to sprout! I kept the article, but it's hidden somewhere in the files, and I'd like the full reference anyway. Can anyone help me track it down, or even just the citation? (And if there have been any articles since that time of that garden, I'll glady take those too!! -Carowyn ____________________________________________________________ Get a life insurance quote online. A quick search in an online periodical database turned up an article from U.S. News and World Report, 7/08/96, Vol. 121 Issue 2, p20, "England welcomes back weld and mullein" (I'll email you the very short article.) The monastery is is Mount Grace Priory in North Yorkshire. Searching on that specific name brings up the National Geographic citation (though not the article itself) Mar97, Vol. 191 Issue 3, p144. I'll email you whatever else I can find that is full text, and with the name of the site, I'm sure you can find a lot more.
