This came across the baronial list, and I thought other folks might be
interested.

Subject: [scatowers] York Archaeological Trust online books

Greetings, all!

As I've been getting materials together to teach our upcoming turnshoe
class in October, I have been doing some new reading. In the process of
looking to purchase a leatherworking book published by the York
Archaeological Trust, I learned that many of their out-of-print books are
actually online as .pdfs on their website. They're even available for
download to your Kindle device, should you wish to do so! (I was
particularly happy to discover this, since Amazon currently has the
leatherworking book listed for sale used at $149).

The books I saw included (but were not limited to) the aforementioned
leatherworking book as well as two books on small finds such as jewelry,
glass, metalsmithing finds and miscellaneous tools. The time period of the
finds ranges from Viking era (Anglo-Scandinavian) all the way through the
1600s. I recommend checking them out!
