[Artemisia] Hey everyone, long time no talk

 Dude! Yeah, you HAVE been out for a little while! How them sultry ladies in Meridies treatin' ya? They are the coolest dichotomy in the SCA, I swear! Seeing these gorgeous women in their period clothes, looking like they stepped out of a manuscript or tapestry, then the have them speak and you get coated in that rich Southern drawl! That rocks! Talk about Creative Anachronism! I know many a man from west of the Mississippi that would love to be in your shoes right now! Well, the desert may have sucked, but I just want to tell you personally that I really appreciate you goin' over there. I keep my yellow ribbon tied to my flagpole on my house. I have a friend, Adam Wiscarson, who was just called up from the reserves. He'll be in for 18 months, 12 of which will be in Bahgdad. My son's father, Cris Eide, enlisted when all this craziness happened and is studying to be an interpretor. He's hoping he'll get a strategic station, where he'll be stateside, decrypting. However, he has a good chance of heading to a tactical position, where he will likely be hunted down because he's out there, spillin' secrets of the other guys. I also have a brother in law in the Marines and a nephew and niece in the Air Force. We're all rather military minded in my family, knowing how many people in our lives could suddenly be gone. So, thanks again for going out there, for me, my kids, and the rest of my rather sizable family. I'm glad to see you're back home. Tanglmommy
