I personally think instead of it being designated at an event, we Pelicans should just do it when ever we see exempliary acts of service. Yes I know it's hard to have a token all the time but it doesn't need to be much. I've decided that I'm going to get those cool rat buttons and present those to people.

Subject: [Artemisia] Re: Pelicans' Prize Tourneys

Greetings!
I just want to give credit where credit is due, since Mst. Maire
mentioned my name in connection with the few Pelicans' Prize Tourneys
that have been held. The idea was originally Mistress Els
Merryweather's -- and a very good idea it was, too. I've participated
in 2 of these "tourneys", and believe there may have been an additional
one or two. The idea is for the Pelicans, similar to the Laurels
looking at work displayed during a Laurels' Prize Tourney, to notice
what individuals are doing -- only, in the case of service, it's not on
display -- or if it is, it shouldn't be --, so it's more tricky to
notice. Then, if a Pelican spots someone going out of their way to
serve, they present that individual with a small token, to let them know
that their effort has not gone unnoticed. To my knowledge, only Arn
Hold has officially held these Pelicans' Tourneys so far, but it seems
to me that any group could designate any event so -- but the Pelicans
need to be notified ahead of time so that they may come prepared with
tokens.
