My first unoffical local shire thing was in borrowed
garb attending the first night of "Lord of the Rings"
in 2001.  Officially, my first event was 12th night
way back in 2002(hehehe)
I had just spent thanksgiving with my cousins who have
been involved for umpteen years and listening to them
talk about the fun and stuff and decided to check it
out.  sure I had a rocky start but i don't think i'm
doin too bad now.  i've made a lot of acquaintances
and many friends whom I cherish.  PLUS my actual
career of being an historian, is also my HOBBY :)
