[Artemisia] finally on the surgery schedule

appologies to those who recieve this missibe more than once.

As most of you who know me already know... last year, at the Trout Creek 
Fire, I did some major damage to my left knee.  The ACL, MCL, and  PCL are 
all torn ... in come cases completely.  The meniscus is both torn and 
abraieded in a tabular fashion   which I guess is a result of the rest of 
the knee parts being missing.

For reasons too lengthy to go into here... it is a VA case instead of 
Workers Comp.  The VA works at its own pace.  Today  almost a year to the 
date of the injury ...  I got word that I have finally been scheduled for 
reconstructive surgery.

My surgery is scheduled for October 13th.  The VA in Salt Lake City (Loch 
Salan) will be doing the surgery... but the doctor is a sports medicine 
specialist from the University of Utah Medical center who donates one day a 
month to the VA.

I will be in pre-op on October 12th,  and they will keep me three days in 
the hospital.  I will be out of work for about four weeks.  I have plenty of 
leave time built up (I could take up to 668 hours if I need to).

So …  all that remains is the wait between now and then.  Will keep you 
posted as we find out more.
