Greetings to all in List-dom!
Our annual event to honor those headed south to promote the glory that
is Artemisia at Estrella (WAR!) is fast approaching. A reminder to
those who are interested (and even to those who are not!)
There was a slight typo in the Feast Steward's phone number in the Sage
- corrected information is given below.
Best regards,
Dietrich
Farewell to Arms
January 17, 2004
American Legion Hall, Blackfoot, ID
The icy grip of winter is on Artemisian lands, and the Griffins are
getting restless. As the Griffin mating season approaches, the noble
warriors prepare to head for War in the warmer lands to the south.
Come join the Barony of One Thousand Eyes for a day of feasting and fun
as they bid godspeed and good fortune to the valiant fighters.
Amidst the merriment, a rapier tournament will be held to determine a
new Captain-at-Arms for Her Excellency's Musketeers. While you must be
a member of the Barony to be the Captain, any who wish to enter may and
the current Captain will be providing a prize to whoever wins and can't
be Captain.
There will also be an informal arts and sciences competition. And
since we all know that the Captain of the Musketeers can't read, keep
the documentation to a minimum - or just forget it altogether. If
anyone wants to teach a class, it can probably be arranged. And you
can probably bet that some dancing will get thrown in somewhere.
Feast will consist of roast turkey and all the trimmings. There will
also be a turkey carving competition, so sharpen your swords (yes,
swords).
