My apologies, I had 9 other people read this event
write up and we all missed this little tidbit. The
seige kitchen contest is going to be held at Hellsgate
in the Barony of Sentinels' Keep. Please refer to
your event write up in the sage for more event
information.

No written documentation is going to be required. As
always we strongly encourage it, but I think you are
going to find it difficult to do so, as you don't know
what's in the box, and may not have all the
ingredients required of a recipe. We are going to ask
the cooks to bring their cooking, presentation and
oral skills with them for the contest. If you can and
wish to provide written documentation, it will
increase your authenticity numbers. We would never
discourage documentation. Presentation (the looks of
the dished food presented), taste, and creativity are
also going to be counted, and make up the other 3/4 of
the final numbers.

You may bring along anything you think will help. A
quick mind and nimble fingers will help a great deal.
However, please remember, if your recipe calls for say
almond milk, and almond milk isn't in the food box,
you will have to think of some substitute from the
food stuffs you are provided.
We are looking for seat of the pants cooks. Someone
that can look at a box of food and make a meal from
what they are given. I will give a hint about the
food box...there will not be anything modern in the
box, you will not find potatoes, tomatoes, turkey, BBQ
sauce, baking soda, etc. We have researched and will
only be giving you food found in period and that you
most likely would find in a seige kitchen. This would
include dry stuffs and the things you might find along
the road in season, as well as things you might
have...shall we say...aquired, along the way.

I'm glad you asked, and please if you have any other
questions just let me know.
