Greetings to the gentles of the Known World,

Here is a copy of my monthly article detailing what is new in the
Florilegium this month.

You will find that the HTML version of most of the new and updated files for
this month and last are much better formatted than the previous files. I
have also added some new features such as making the list of related files
at the top of most files into HTML links and changing any links in the files
to pickable HTML links. I have also instituted some primative anti-spam
harvesting measures with folks' email addresses. These improvements have
been made through recreating my programs which translate the rather ugly
Word generated HTML code into something better for this use. The original
version of this program was lost in my disk crash last year.

For those who might be interested, sine of the web statistics for the
Florilegium site can now be found at this link:
http://www.timecastle.net/stats/florilegium.org/

Reading the statistics on this page you can see that over 500 different web
browsers were used to access the Florilegium site in a month. There is no
way I can test the Florilegium site or the HTML code generated by my new
program with all of these browsers. So, if you find a problem with the new
file formatting, please let me know and tell me any details I can use to
track down the problem.

Please feel free to let your local newsletter editor know of this monthly
article. I send out this article to the print editors on my list several
weeks before I send this out to electronic publications so
they can meet their various publication deadlines. They simply need to
contact me and provide some info if they wish to be added.

If you have any suggestions for improvement of the site or the HTML code
which my program generates, please let me know either my email or perhaps at
Pennsic.

Thanks,
    Stefan

A Blending of the Past and Present

Over the past fourteen years in an ongoing effort, I have been collecting
bits of useful information from various newsgroups, mail lists and articles
submitted to me by their authors. In order to make
this information available to others, I have placed this information in a
series of files I call Stefan's Florilegium.

The Florilegium is on the web at: http://www.florilegium.org

I am always interested in new articles. If you have written an article that
would be of interest to others in the SCA, please send it to me for possible
inclusion in the Florilegium. Contact me for more details.

I am also interested in volunteers who might be interested in helping me
maintain the Florilegium. Everything from collecting materials, editing and
web work is needed. Again, please contact me for more details.
