The horses whinny as the Hound’s Master slips the
collar and the dogs take to the woods in chase of the
quarry.The pulse quickens, as the hawk takes wing
after is prey. 
The sound of Hunting horns and the baying of hounds
echo in the distance as The Barony Arn Hold welcomes
you to The Day of the Hunt 
A day filled with equestrian games, hounds coursing,
archery, armored and rapier combat, classes and
activities that are themed around the noble pursuits
of the fields and woods. Decorate and bring your stick
pony to be judged and to partake in the stick pony
games. All ages are welcome!  
The picturesque fields of Eagle Island State Park are
the setting for the day. There are roughly 5 miles of
fairly groomed trails for riding or hiking. Hounds
should be kept on leash unless being coursed.
Site opens at 8:00 am to begin preparations for the
equine activities, and closes at 8:00 pm.
Site fee is $9.00 ($12.00 for non members with the
surcharge) this includes faire and fine sup of soup
and bread for lunch (make checks payable to Barony Arn
Hold, SCA, Inc.). The site is wet (no glass containers
please). There is also a $4.00 per car charge (State
Park entrance fee) that will be collected at the sign
in table. Carpooling is encouraged! 


Directions:
Travel your best route to I-84 and Merge onto S EAGLE
RD/ID-55 N via EXIT 46 toward EAGLE/MCCALL/EMMETT (5.0
miles).
Turn left on W CHINDEN BLVD/E CHINDEN
BLVD/US-20/US-26. Continue to follow W CHINDEN
BLVD/US-20/US-26 (2.9 miles).
Turn RIGHT onto N LINDER RD (1.5 miles).
Turn RIGHT onto W HATCHERY RD (.3 miles) and proceed
straight until the gate.
There will be signs.
