[Artemisia] need information in period punch embroidery

Actually, it was discussed quite a while ago on the SCA Laurels list. But
since I'm not into embroidery, I didn't pay much attention. If I remember
correctly, though, it actually is a period technique... I remember being
surprised when I read about it.
