   I'm not entirely sure they are or were ever *closed*.

   However, all of the IPOC 'awards', including The Meritorious Order of
Unusual Sensual Excesses, were deleted from the SCA Ordinary a couple of
years ago as being in violation of Corpora since they were not bestowed
by
or at the behest of reigning Royalty. (Well, there's a little more, but
that's the story *I'm* sticking with...).  Heraldic revisionism, in my
opinion. Hmmph.

   However, the only reason they *might* be closed is because the IPOC,
and
its associated entities, er households, haven't been playing with them
for
awhile.  One of the reasons for deletion was they had no patron(ess :-)
to
speak for them.  Now if the appropriate individuals were to re-appear
(Sister Scholastica?) that could be a different story.....
