Greetings all good gentles,

Middle Eastern War (May 12-14) is nearly upon us, as those fierce invaders from the Far East seek to conquer our lands in what has become a constant, and yes almost predictable, annual battle. Come and help defend Arrows' Flight at the Castle Walls!

There will be a feast on Saturday night, consisting of:

1st remove Turkey (or chicken) Rice soup
      Hard rolls and butters (honey/plain/garlic)
  2nd remove Pasties
      Romano & Noodles
  3rd remove Minted Peas
      Ginger Carrots
4th remove Slow roasted Beef Brisket

5th remove Almond pound cake w/ raspberry sauce

Feast reservations need to emailed or postmarked by 5/5 to Lady Kadrina Tanskalainen at tuckerka at hotmail.com. Our chef, m'lord Lenny, has promised that his beef brisket slow roasting throughout the day--on site--will tempt you all day long, so it's best that you make reservations now. Feast fees are $7 for adults, $3.50 for youth.

There will be an Arts and Sciences competition as well, populace choice, with a prize going to the winner.

CAMPING: Camping on site is limited, and is first come first serve, unless prior arrangements have been made with the autocrat. However, we are opening up a part of the lower field (the south end of the main battlefield) to *PERIOD* tents or pavilions for those who wish to camp there, in order to maintain the medieval feel of the Castle grounds. We ask that those who camp on the lower field in their *period* pavilions please make good use of the space and place tents closely together. Check with the site autocrat, m'lord Michael MacCranney, if you have any questions about the placement of your encampment. Remember, we do need to leave room for the fighting and for at least two Baronial pavilions.

Those with modern-era tents should camp up top. There is also parking space for RVs/trailers up top. Gentles at the Reeve table will direct you if you're unfamiliar with the site.

This is a dry site, as it is owned by the State of Utah. Those who visibly and obviously disregard this rule will be asked to leave, by big men with sticks, of which we have plenty.

Most of all... come down to Arrows' Flight and have fun! Feasting, fighting on the Castle, arts and sciences, CLASSES in needlework and bellydancing and other things, an Hafla after all the fighting and feasting is done... the best little event in the Artemisian spring. See you there!

EXIT NUMBER CORRECTION-- Provo Center Street Exit is #265. It is incorrect in the Sage.
