Greetings Gentle Cousins,
Forgive the tardiness, but here is a brief synopsis of the events of this past weekend:
Lord Darius showed himself to be a well-rounded artisan, and was named our Arts and Sciences Champion.
Lord Daniel (the Spanish one) was victorius on the Rapier field, but as he lives not in Loch Salann, Lord Aaron Carter, whom Daniel finaled against, has assumed the mantle of the Baroness' Rapier Champion.
After a rigorous tournament, Lord Derek of Tintagel stood victorious in the final against Lord Vidar Bowbreaker, and took his place as Baroness' Armored Champion.
During Court, I was quite happy to resolve a piece of business left over from Their Excellencies Ulrich and Rachel, and named the Baronial Hunt, those archers tasked with defending and provending the Barony. Named to the Hunt were Lord Ryryd ap Gwerstan, Lord Douglas Sutherlande, milady Hawke Riveroak, milord Ian Sutherlande, and Lord Broka Vay was named as Captain of the Hunt. You will know them by the ermine-spotted shooting gloves they wear as token of their position.
I was also accorded permission from Their Majesties to present some few awards as I saw fit, and for this Court I was pleased to present Lord Andrew MacEth with a White Lark for his outstanding artistic efforts working on the Quill, both in creating art for it and in his writing, all too often an overlooked art.
During Their Majesties Court, They did present Lord Bjarki Har(mumble mumble)son with a Golden Maple Leaf for his incredibly well-made and well-researched and documented weapons.
After all of this enjoyment, we sat down to the very best feast I have ever had at Head Table, prepared by Her Excellency Mistress Casamira, Lady Hildegarde, and other skilled chefs (who bear a striking resemblance to the Loch Salann Cooks Guild).
In all, it was a wonderful day.
Morgan, Vicar of Loch Salann
