Subject: [Announcements] Regarding Background Checks
The SCA Corporate Office wishes to express its gratitude to the members and participants who have taken the time to offer their thoughts and advice regarding the background check program announced earlier in the week.
We will endeavor to address issues brought up as the implementation process is developed. We continue to invite polite, concerned and productive comments from our participants regarding this upcoming program. Vitriolic diatribe offers little in the way of solutions, and cheapens the concerns expressed therein.
The Board and Corporate Officers are creating a list of questions to be answered regarding the implementation of this program, and will continue to consider counsel from our members.
Please bear in mind that it is not the desire of the Directors or Corporate staff to implement any process that reduces participation or causes hardship for our members. However, we are faced with certain legal obligations that make background checks the only viable option. Therefore, we are taking every step possible to make this new process as painless as possible for everyone.
Please keep those comments coming: comments at sca.org.
Regards,
Jason Williams – Chairman, SCA Inc.
(Duke John ap Gwyndaf, KSCA, OL)
Hal Simon – Chairman-Elect, SCA Inc.
(Baron Edwin FitzLloyd, OP, OL)
George L. Reed – Vice President of Operations, SCA Inc.
(Baron Aaron faheud Swiftrunner, OP, OL)
