Hello My Dear,
We didn't know that the deadline had already been moved up. I thought that
the new deadline was taking effect starting in 2008.
Anyway, the event steward for Toys for Tots in November is working on the
event copy now. How much time can you give me so we can we still get it
into the October issue? PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE
Also, we are going to use our auction at Barbarian Bash as a benefit for
Roibeard MacCarthaigh's widow since they both used to be members of our
shire. Can I make a small change to the event copy in the Sage Advice and
still have you get it into the August issue? PLEEEEEEEEASE???
I will write it and send it out to you right away.

Greetings All!
I'm trying to reach as many eyes and ears as possible so please read below:
Previously the rule for Local Chroniclers cross posting event copy was
restricted to their local area and any Kingdom events their area may
host. This "rule" was put in place so that an individual could not
obtain a "cheaper" membership by purchasing only a Local Newsletter
and therefore by-passing a full SCA membership and/or waivers.
This "rule" has been changed/updated and you can thank the Society
wide Non-Member surcharge fee for the update/change(and Caointiarn for
reminding me).
Local Newsletters may now print any and/or all events they would like with
the
EXCEPTION that the event copy come from the Kingdom Chroniclers office
ONLY. This is to ensure that all Event copy has been properly
approved, insurances ordered, Registration forms completed and all
required information is included in the copy.
This change/update however, still does not make local newsletters
"Official". I'm
sorry, but because local newsletters are not a "requirement" EVENTS
MUST be printed in the Kingdom Newsletter to be an "official" SCA
sanctioned EVENT.
So please, Event Stewards, send in your event copy and registration
form to myself, Caointiarn and the required individuals on the "list"
that need to see the copy ASAP.
Also, if you did not notice on page 2 of the Sage Advice, the deadline
for Submissions has changed. Submission deadline is now 60 days prior
to the cover month. For example, August 1st for the OCTOBER issue.
If you don't have all issues worked out, please contact myself or
Caointiarn about a Teaser or Place Holder for your event. Complete
Event copy MUST be printed at LEAST ONE month to be "official".
