No, it's not hormones! What actually happens is that when the tooth fairy comes for the first tooth lost after age 12, she also removes the child's brain, not returning it until sometime after age 20. What we need to do is hunt down and slay that pesky fairy.

as parents, once they enter the teen years, usually between ages 14 and 15, our job as parents is to keep them alive until their hormones give their brains back.
