My Brothers and Sisters of the Dream
We have been working with Roibeard just with in the past few months. We are torn up by the loss of this energetic man. Who had great potential for so much. Our hearts go out to both our group in Otherhill and also those of
Crystal Crags. (to Mom keep a chin up and drink to our boy for me Thomas) We will be in touch with Her Highness and Sir Richard and those of South Otherhill for what the needs might be. A prayer of peace you all and be blessed by the Hand of the All Mighty.
Viscount Sir Thomas and Viscountess Mistress Adria

It is with a very heavy heart that I must be the bearer of sad news. M'lord
Roibeard MacCarthaigh was killed in an accident yesterday evening. Many of
you may or may not know this man as he was a fairly new player. He and his
wife Abigail were originally from Crystal Crags but had moved to Otherhill
last year. Roibeard was a good friend and he will be missed in my heart, my
life and by my side on the battle field. He is survived by his wife-
Abigail, step-son- DJ 12, and his son Gabriel-1-1/2. The family will need
help from their SCA family physically, emotionally and monetarily. Our Shire
members are taking a collection to send to help with funeral expenses and
anything else. Please reach out to your populace members and see if you can
do something to help. I will have more info of where to send donations as
soon as I can. Their mundane names are Dave and Aleta McNeely, Rock Springs,
Wy.
Personal note: As the tears flow as I write this I am reminded of the day
two years ago at Barbarian Bash when I Ely married these two individuals
into a union unbreakable by man. It was a beautiful ceremony(if i do say so
myself), and I was proud that they chose me to perform their wedding. And I
am also proud to be the godfather of his son Gabriel.
Thank you good people for all that you can do,
Lord Ely of Silver Oak
