Just a reminder that Hellsgate is only 2 days off. (where did June go?)
A few things of note: The weather is predicted to range from 102 on Friday
to the mid 90s on Sat and Sun. Dress accordingly.
For those who are interested in dogs, there will be people from the Great
Pyrenees rescue org. on site Sat morning at 10 am. They will be giving a
talk about the history of the breed, and also the history of the Anatolian
Shepherd. They will have some of their dogs with them.
After that Dame Bronwen is offering a class on basket making (small garlic
baskets) Contact her by Thurs afternoon if you'd like her to bring
materials for you. ( <mailto:richardslj%40bresnan.com>

Later in the afternoon Ldy. Ygrainne will be teaching a class on nalbinding.
She will be providing materials.
The rest of the event information can be found in the write-up below.
Hellsgate Tournament
July 6-8 in the Barony of Sentinels' Keep
Join us in the beautiful Bitterroot mountains on the first weekend of July,
2007 for our annual Hellsgate Tournament. Bring your 5 person melee teams,
and your enthusiasm.
Besides various fighting scenarios , there will be torchlight chariot
jousting, a combat archery duel, an ax throwing contest, a basket weaving
class (not underwater!) taught by Dame Bronwen, other classes, gatherings
and activities yet to be announced.
A note to Baronial members: at this event there will be a confidence polling
for Baron Adne and Baroness Judith who would like to renew their warrants
for another 2 years. If at all possible please try to attend on Saturday
and participate.
The site, Larry Creek group camp, opens at 2 pm on Friday, and closes at 2
pm on Sunday. The water on site is drinkable but may taste of iron. There
are forest service outhouses but no showers. Pets on leashes are allowed,
but owners must clean up after them. This is a mountain site, so do
supervise children and pets carefully, as there are bears, mountain lions
and wolves in the area. There is a small stream in the trees at the edge of
the meadow, and depending on the weather various biting insects can be
annoying, so bug repellent is strongly advised. Above ground fires are
allowed, although that could change depending on forest fire restrictions.
This is a wet site. Quiet hours between 12 am and 7 am will be enforced.
(This does not preclude chatting and singing around the fires, but does mean
no drumming or shouting after midnight. Please be considerate.)
For those who don't care to camp, there are 2 small motels just a few miles
down the road in Stevensville.
Directions: Larry Creek Group Campground is 5 Miles NW of Stevensville MT.
