[Artemisia] the Roibeard Mac Carthaigh Memorial Archers' Bear Pit

Will be shot starting at 1 pm Friday (the range will be open at 12:30 for warm-ups).  Donations to his family  are required for entry (donation box will be present), no limit on the donation.  Non-participants are welcome to watch, ooooh, awwww, and donate.  The Victor will receive a 34# @ 28" longbow, finished in the colors requested by Roibeard (this is the bow he purchased), with a change in the legend on the back.  Instead of "property of Roibeard" in Gaelic, it now says "Rest in Peace Roibeard Mac Carthaigh".  The Bear Pit will continue until one person has defeated every other archer, or until 3:30 pm, when the person with the most wins will be declared the Victor.  The bow will be presented at that time.

Please join me in remembering this fine man and beginning archer, and give a little something to help his family deal with their loss.
