Of course! :) My used copy of "The Age of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent" by Esin Atil came last week. I just finished re-reading all the chapters on costume and fabrics. Now I don't have to check it out of the library anymore- Yipee! on Amazon I saw "Medieval Cuisine of the Islamic World: A Concise History with 174 Recipes" (California Studies in Food and Culture) I may have to have that next. I'm just starting "Singing the Past: Turkic & Medieval Heroic Poetry" by Karl Reichl. It's a bit dry, so I do it in bits. After all the heavy reading, I need a good dose of light fantasy just to shut my brain down so I can sleep! Esther
Does anyone in the SCA read history anymore?
