"The Overall Survey of the Ocean's Shores [1433]."  It's a translation of
the book that Ma Huan wrote after the last voyage of the Treasure Fleet.
Quite a dominating naval force, them Chinese.  They spread their influence
all along the Indian Ocean coast around through the middle east and halfway
down the African coast.

  I just finished a book on a special brigade during the U.S. civil war, not
period but still history.
