Sure thing.
Best way to practice these is easiest to hardest, with my favorite finishing
move of Korabushka.
Tangle Bransle: 3 AM by Matchbox Twenty
Horses Bransle: All 4 U by Janet Jackson
Belle Qui: Don't Cha by The Pussycat Dolls & Busta Rhymes
Foula Reel: Cotton Eyed Joe
Then, once you have your footing under you, pick up the difficulty level:
Scotland the Brave: My Humps by Black Eyed Peas
Maltese-Caiden Bransle: 99 Luftballons by Nena
Black Allemande: I'm Feeling You by Michelle Branch and Santana
Mannschaft: Babylon by David Gray (This one is a personal favorite of mine
and is an exceptionally beautiful piece of music for this dance. Really
pretties it up.)
At this point, these dances are the advanced set. Female Sailor was
practiced for an hour before we ever put it to music.
Well Hall: Honey I Been Thinking About You by Jackie Greene
Black Nag: Hair of the Dog by Nazareth
Dargesons: Stay With You by the Goo Goo Dolls
Female Sailor: Holiday by Green Day
Posty's Jig: Who Let the Dogs Out by the Baha Men
The Korabushka was split into two different sets: The Old Music and the New
Music.
Old Korabushka music: Mortal Kombat by Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat 7"
Mix) (This song is good for this because it gets us all in sync very
quickly. People really get this solid beat and figure the dance out
quickly.)
New Korabushka music: Pump It by the Black Eyed Peas (This music is brutal
fast. It's the fastest set on the traditional music that I have, but it is
maintained at that pace for 3Minutes and 15 seconds. You have no idea how
long that is until you are slamming those boots and spinning. Stretch
first.)
Now we did not get to many of these dances. One of them, Well Hall, is
actually one of my favorite dances but we were dancing as it was until 1:30
AM. I didn't have the regular music for a couple of these on my iPod so I
felt uncomfortable instructing them. It's nice to have the regular music so
people can see the way the dances transfer across the ages.
If you have any trouble tracking down these songs, please let me know and
I'll get you the album info. I'm always listening for new music so the Ball
can have a few old things and some new things every year.

Tangldancer--Please post the list of dances and music you used for the
Fools' Ball. Members of my Shire had a fun time at the Ball and want to
"try it at home".
