While what passes for 'discussion' in the outside world of American
politics involves demonizing one's opponents and shutting down any
actual possibility of communication by reverting to tired old insults
rather than addressing actual issues, I had hoped that members of the
Laurel Kingdoms could hold real conversations instead. Up until
recently in this thread that seemed to be the case.
I do not, however, think that calling those who hold differing
opinions 'delusional' or 'illogical' is a successful way of fostering
understanding. Nor do I feel that the blanket labeling those of us
with some connection to the media 'unscrupulous' is appropriate in an
organization that claims to respect members' dedication to honor and
chivalry.
Oh, and if you are going to quote someone else's witticisms, you
should enclose them in quotations and attribute them whenever
possible. Otherwise someone might think you are unscrupulously
stealing their efforts and passing it off as your own.
