[Artemisia] Uprising Traffic Jam on Sunday

For what it's worth, we in the Arrow's Flight camp pulled off the road, into camp, so as not to block the road for others. Granted, ours was not the most crowded of camps, but in those who were, if a couple tents near the road came down right away, allowing for vehicles to be pulled off of the road, that might help alleviate the situation.
We were among the ones who left early ;-)

Milady Christina,
that does not resolve the problem of two people with large trucks and trailers
n camps on opposite sides of the firelane needing to load up. if the lane is
nly two vehicles wide then two vehicles block the lane, no matter how fast they
ack. As for the reduction in camping space, from what I saw there was as much
mpty space as there was used space, so we would lose nothing, the camp would
ust be wider and shallower, instead of narrow and deep (as our's was). Our
amp was mostly load-prepped, (i.e. pre-packed and ready to load), my camp-mate
till had to wait about 1 1/2 hours to get his trailer to our area because of
he narrow roads and other people being parked there. The only other solution I
ind is go get your vehicle really early, park where you want to, and let
veryone else worry about everyone else. This, to me, is not a very chivalrous
nswer.

ubject: [Artemisia] Uprising Traffic Jam on Sunday
n reading some of the posts on the Kingdom List, I found a few complaints about
he traffic jam on Sunday at Uprising. One possible solution I had heard was to
ry to make the roads wider (which would cut way down on the amount of camping
rea that we had).
But might I make another suggestion? If everyone were to break down their camp,
et all their stuff packed up and ready to load BEFORE they went to go get their
ehicles, this would significantly cut down on the time that vehicles were
itting in someone else's way.
We did that this year. So instead of having our truck sitting in the way for 2
ours or so, it was only there for about 30-45 minutes. Then we said our good
yes and were out of there!
I am sure that if everyone did this we could all be in and out of the site and
n our way home a lot sooner!
I hope this suggestion helps.
