[Artemisia] Final Court Report of Timmur and Tianna: Coronation

This is the Final Court Report of Timmur and Tianna, past King and Queen of 
Artemisia, from Coronation Court on March 3rd, 2007, held in the Barony of 
Loch Salann. I have tried to include as many details as I could from the 
notes I took. If you find errors or corrections are needed, please contact

The Final Court of Timmur and Tianna, Khagan and Khatun of Artemisia, began 
around 11:30 in the morning on Saturday, March 3rd. In attendance was Baron 
Sean and Baroness Nisa of Loch Salann, Baron Tor and Baroness Rachel of Arn 
Hold, Baron Adne and Baroness Judith of Sentinel's Keep and Baroness Bianca 
of Gryphon's Lair.

His Majesty Timmur walked into Court, followed by Her Radiant Majesty being 
carried in on Her Litter. They looked very majestic in black, gold and hues 
of red. They began Their final court by apologizing for starting a little 
late, but there were a bunch of Normans outside near the gate and it had 
caused delays!

They spoke of Estrella War and how much fun was had! For the first time in 
history, Artemisia brought home the Rapier War Banner from Estrella, which 
was proudly displayed near the Thrones!

The Event Steward, Lord Godfrey, came forward and made announcements, 
including the fact that over 200 people had signed in at gate!

Their Majesties then called forth Lady DubEssa O'Fidhne of Gryphon's Lair 
and spoke of her skill in archery. They bestowed upon her the Golden Gryphon 
and Pheon for her excellance in archery.

Their Majesties then called Master Bartholomew Hightower forward, and he 
received a scroll for his Golden Gryphon's Talon, dated December 2nd, 2006.

Her Majesty then called forth all holders of the Queen's Confidence. Her 
Majesty Queen Tianna then called forth 3 ladies to receive a Queen's 
Confidence from Her hand. Those ladies receiving Queen's Confidence's were:

HE Countess Sati al-Isfahani of Dragonsmarch
HE Countess Elizabeth O'Byrnne from the Outlands
HE Baroness Katya in Raudhara from Silverkeep

His Majesty then had 4 gentles called forth to receive the King's Council 
from Him. Those 4 gentles receiving the King's Council were:

Her Grace Duchess Caryn Isolde Clothilde von Katzenberg of Loch Salann
HE Count Michael O'Brien of Dragonsmarch
HE Baron Thorvald Badaxe of Gryphon's Lair
Master Bartholomew Hightower of Cote duCiel

Their Majesties then called forth 5 individuals to receive a Golden 
Gryphon's Heart from Them. Those 5 individuals were:

Dame Varia Goffe of Arn Hold
His Grace Duke Alan Youngforest of 1000 Eyes
Her Grace Duchess Corisande de Burgh of 1000 Eyes
Lady Kiraana Dayudova (Kira) of Loch Salann
Lady Rowan of Loch Salann

Their Majesties then called forth Elias Tygar, outgoing Rapier Champion. He 
received a Quodlibet for serving as Rapier Champion.

The outgoing Queen's Champion, Baron Thorvald, and the outgoing King's 
Champion, Qadi Sir Dahoud, were not present.

Their Majesties then called forth all Gryphon's of Artemisia. Master Braden 
then began to read the scroll that had been prepared for the new, as of yet 
unnamed, Gryphon of Artemisia. Their Majesties Herald, Don Vilhelm, did not 
read the scroll, but instead Braden did with the "excuse" being that the 
scroll was written in German. As Braden read the scroll and people wondered 
who the new Gryphon would be, excitement rose among the populace. Finally, 
Braden read the name in English......Vilhelm Silberhammer!! A very surprised 
Vilhelm came forward and was made the newest Gryphon of Artemisia!! There 
was alot of rejoicing heard throughout the hall!!

As Their Majesties were preparing to resume Their Court, a very French 
speaking Master Bartholomew came into the hall, challenging Their Majesties 
on behalf of Crown Prince Ralph Bigod of Hereford! Something about Them 
sitting around in Their silk and not knowing what it's like to fight 
anymore. His Majesty Timmur sprung into action, acting upon this challenge. 
He ran out of the hall with his guards and squires following him, ready to 
fight.

Her Majesty Tianna, left behind with only a Lady in Waiting and Don Vilhelm, 
was quite distraught! She stated She has business to take care of before 
retiring to Her chambers to await news of Her King's fate.

She called forth all of Their guards (that weren't with His Majesty fighting 
the Crown Prince) and dismissed them all with Her thanks. She gave them all 
Peeps (yes, the Easter variety...squishy marshmallowy type).....Peeps for 
Her Peeps! :-)

She then returned the Queen's White Scarf to the members of the White Scarf, 
for "safe keeping from those Normans!"

Her Majesty then turned over the Queen's Scepter to Mistress Morwenna for 
safe keeping.

Her Majesty then asked Mistress Heloise and Master Conner to take the 
mantles of state for safe keeping, but for some reason, many of the populace 
didn't trust they would keep the mantles from the Normans. Maybe it was the 
big wink Mistress Heloise gave the populace when Her Majesty asked her to 
keep the mantles from the Normans.

Her Majesty then released Her ladies, giving each of them a Peep and telling 
them to take their families and run into the woods, to hide from the 
Normans!

Her Majesty then called forth Princess Royale Sara Jezebelle. Afraid the 
Normans would recognize her by the coronet she wore, Her Majesty removed her 
coronet and sent her away with her escort, Michael.

Her Majesty was then so distraught with fear for Her King, she retired to 
Her Chambers, and the rest of us took a 10 minute break. :-)

Very shortly, Crown Prince Ralph entered the Hall, dressed all in gold and 
black. He and His guards came forward carrying the shield of now perished 
King Timmur. They laid the shield, broken and full of arrows and a spear 
tip, at the feet of Queen Tianna. Crown Prince Ralph said He had given King 
Timmur many chances to surrender and mercy, but Timmur fought until the end, 
and His shield is all that remained.

The biggest surprise of the day was the proclamation of Crown Prince Ralph 
that Queen Tianna would be sent away to a Nunnery to spend the rest of her 
natural life, to think of Her beloved Timmur. Countess Sati, Countess 
Elizabeth and Mackenzie then came forward to escort Tianna to the Nunnery. I 
don't know if visitors are allowed at Nunneries, but I'm sure Tianna would 
like visitors!

Crown Prince Ralph then proclaimed that the rest of the day we would honor 
Their Majesties Timmur and Tianna by holding Tourneys and celebrating. Court 
was then recessed for the Warriors to go prepare for the day's tourneys.
