[Artemisia] Preview on building a bloomery at Uprising

This link just got posted to the weird smiths list.
Compared to the bloomery we will build at Uprising ,the furnace shown  
in the photos is smaller, made of different materials, and has two  
tuyere holes instead of one.  Regardless, all the pieces are there:  
tuyere, bellows, chimney, rock, fire...who could ask for more?  Note  
the electrified bellows.  Also note that the furnace shown used slag  
tapping instead of slag trapping (the latter is what we'll do at  
Uprising).  Our bloomery will replicate an historical furnace  
excavated in England which had larger dimensions.

For those who weren't at the event this weekend or who couldn't take  
my class because of scheduling conflicts, a tuyere is a fancy word  
for the hole in the furnace through which the bellows forces the draft.
