People in their passion for something, oft times miss the whole point. 

There is a reason that the Bible is presented in two sections: Old Testament and
New Testament.

To embrace the old law, because it suits our opinion of consequences of the acts
of others - (and don't we all sometimes) is to completely miss the point.

People have been missing the point for centuries.....
