Howdy!
Cross-posted to all kinds of people.
For all you calligraphers, illuminators & medieval book enthusiasts:
Here are a couple great sites for medieval manuscripts that came off a list
I'm on:
http://www.scriptorium.columbia.edu/
The Digital Scriptorium from Columbia compiles various sites.
http://libwww.library.phila.gov/medievalman/index.cfm
The Philadelphia Free Library has recently added their manuscripts on line,
about 40% of their collection. One of them is the Genealogy Roll of Edward IV
of England that includes the arms of all his ancestors including attributed
arms. Click on the Tour of Our Collections link & scroll down for their
samples. You can search by date, artist's name, country of origin - pretty
thorough.
Have fun!
