Greetings to all Rapier Combatants and Citizens of Artemisia,
Come join in the fun scenarios planned for our rapier combatants at the
Fletch, Foal and Frolic Event (Kingdom Event) in May in Arn Hold. This will include some duels at dawn and some duels on a bridge. (Which will actually be a simulated bridge flat on the ground) but still a nice interesting challenge for the combatants and fun viewing for the spectators.
Any and all are invited to attend the lovely May Event in the glorious spring time fair weather, while the Arn Hold Excellencies host our beloved Artemisia Majesties at the Kingdom Equestrian Championship / Kingdom Archery Championship event happening in May in Arn Hold. The event includes in your site fees a lovely complementary Sunday Morning Repast (brunch) for all. This will also be the event where at the Arn Hold Archery Championship is also determined. See the link on the Kingdom web site, on the Kingdom calendar, for Kingdom Equestrian / Kingdom Archery full site locations, dates, times, costs, etc. The site is wet and only 10 minutes away from town (convenient beer runs). There will be no above ground fires, except in the one single allowed bardic fire pit (depending on fire conditions). No tiki torches, only Coleman type lanterns and above ground propane cook stoves or heaters please. The site is privately owned by the family of an SCA member, offering
lovely rolling grassy hills majestically nestled away from any view of modern stuff, once you are on the actual site. Well behaved dogs are allowed, bring a leash and there will be areas where they can be let loose to run.
See you all there.
Blessing,
Dame Rachel, Event Steward
