Okay, now you are making ME feel old!! My family had a party line when
we lived in a house outside of Eugene Oregon...there were 9 phones
attached to it, and believe me it was tough for teenagers!!! (can you
imagine??)

Alright, here's one to certify being since
rocks were soft: my Godparents' farm in Vermont
had a real honest-to-pete party line!
betchya haven't heard of one of those for a
century or two... ;-)
