  Actually, there is an excellent reason for planting marigolds in such  a 
  garden. They repel mosquitos.  It would be a nice thing to be able to  escape 
  those bitty bugs while sitting and  contemplating.   

  I've heard that, although it doesn't seem to deter the MT ones much....That said, I really don't recall much of a mosquito issue on the Halls' property.
