This interesting post came across the SCA-Laurels' list, and since I know some of you are board game afficianados, I thought I'd pass it on.  Permission being granted by the original poster, here it is....

The British Museum has a 500 year retrospective on boardgames that I 
hadn't seen linked to on this list, so I thought some folks might be 
interested.  Clicking on the thumbnails yields a fairly impressive 
zoom.  The first five easily fall inside the 'pre-17th C' context of the 
SCA- the others are just pretty flippin' cool.
