[Artemisia] Saturday October 4th Archery Practice

Archers of the Realm, pray heed my words. 

 

Fall is upon us with old man winter close upon its heels. The rains are
building far to the north as we retire from the field for the summer. As we
prepare to move our activities indoors, let us not forget the massive
conflict that awaits us in the southern deserts just a few months hence. I
would like to have at least one more outdoor practice on Saturday, October
4th from 10:00am to 2:00pm (or whenever) weather permitting.  It will be
held at the Mount Ogden Archery Range in Morgan Valley. We will be shooting
our standard distances of 20, 30, and 40 yards in addition to being able to
shoot a 100 yard Clout and anything other distance we would like to. 

 

If you are not attending the Stinking Desert War with our cousins in Draca
Mor on that day, please make your way to the Ogden area and enjoy a morning
of archery with your comrades in arms. 

 

The cost is a mere $3.00 per person which goes directly to the range owners.

 

I realize that the 10-Day forecast is not looking good at this point in time
but I am optimistic. I would still like to start everyone thinking about
this in the event we get a break from the rain. I will be onsite first thing
Saturday morning to make an assessment of the conditions. Remember that the
east side of the mountains can be getting no rain while the west side is
washing away and vice versa. More to follow as the week develops. Please let
me know if you think you may attend (weather permitting) so I can get an
idea of the numbers.

 

For those that have recently received their AOA's, clothing is not optional
and violation of this mandate will be dealt with swiftly and without mercy.
