We are counting down to War. As you prepare for your vacation please take
note of some changes for 2009 during your travels and on site.
Site rules
Site rules are online at
http://www.estrellawar.org/PreparingToAttend/SiteRules.aspx
Site rules contain important information relating to your enjoyment of the
site and local laws that apply to Estrella war. Please make yourself
familiar with the site rule before you attend war.
Arizona Welcomes Careful Drivers !!
No joke
During 2008 Arizona passed state law to expand photo enforcement
statewide to enforce traffic speed laws. They are located on freeways (I10,
I17, I8, US 60, SR 202, SR 101). In addition, there are mobile speed camera
vans in the Phoenix metropolitan area at major intersections. Cameras are
usually set to 10 mph above the posted speed limit (55mph speed limit
camera goes off at 65+mph) speed limits are strictly enforced in
construction zones.

Youve budgeted hard to get here, dont spend your Estrella money on
speeding tickets !!
Change in Site Services
This year, there is no bus or shuttle service at Estrella XXV. If you
require transportation please stop Special Needs or any person with a cart
or radio and you will be assisted. Special Needs is also on radio Channel
3. To compensate there will be extra golf carts to assist with rides
to/from the parking lots and around site for events. If you have any
questions or concerns on this issue please email the Estrella XXV Event

Trash disposal leave the site cleaner than you found it
Responsible trash disposal while we are at war makes a big impact on the
site and our fun. Just a few simple precautions keeps the cost of clean-up
down and ensures we are invited back to the site.
Grey Water: No dumping of any grey water or other debris into the canals
or within any camping area. Grey Water tanks will be located at all privy
stations.
Litter & Campfire Ashes: Trash and ash receptacles are provided thoughout
the site. Please ensure that trash is placed in trash cans (not in ash
cans), and that ashes are cold to the touch went discarded!
Dispose of large items: (like rugs and furniture) in containers located
around the site (on the heli-pad (accross from the Ranch House), by the
railroad crossing on the Caid side and behind Merchants Row in the loading
dock. Also put your pre-bagged trash in containers.
At the end of the event, you are responsible for leaving your camp area
free of litter. This is critical if you wish the SCA to have use of the site
for future Estrella Wars!
All Good Things Come to an End
The Estrella site closes Monday Feb 16th at NOON! Please leave the site
promptly to enable the staff to complete the tear-down process and cleanup
during the afternoon.
