Today is a huge milestone for me!  I had my last chemo treatment.  No more poring poison in my veins!  Adios to the chemo suite!  Good-bye, good luck, and I didn't let the door hit me on the way out!  For once, I get to recoup knowing it's not temporary.   In a few weeks, before I start radiaiton, I'd like to have a party here in Boise as a "re-coming out."  I have a bottle of mead that Blaise and I bought at an auction in Twae Linnes that I plan to open as I've avoided alcohol during chemo because I aleady had enough poison running through my veins.  

Asylynne!  You need to be here when it's opened because you're one of the primary people involved when we got that mead.

When I'm more lucid, I'll try to put together a time and date.  We might play 80's videos on the TV again. :)

I'm still not out of the woods with treatments.  August 4, I have a PET scan scheduled.  A couple of weeks following that, they will have sculpted my plan for radiation.  Radiation therapy will last anywhere from 5 to 6 weeks.  It will have it's own set of complications, but probably not nearly as bad as the chemo and it will go a lot faster.

Thank you to everyone who's had me in their prayers and thoughts.  It means a great deal to me and I attribute those prayers to helping me stay sane throughout the past six months.  Once everything is over, I've been told it could take up to two years to be "normal" again.  I plan to push the envelope and see how fast I can go.  And I can't wait for my hair and eyebrows to come back!  The itching, malaise, and symptoms that have plagued me so very badly for the past five years are all things of the past, too.  Good Riddance!
