[Artemisia] Question for Kingdom Officers

Greetings, from the damp, and way too hot, Emerald Vale of Arrows' Flight, to all, including those who are lurking, and learning, those who have responded to this line of thought, and those who seem to be annoyed.
I am a kingdom officer, and don't know the answers to Morgan's original question. I was looking forward to recieving what would be to me some useful information, and instead, have gotten what seems to be a shutdown of discussion, or, to coin a phrase from an old movie, a "failure to communicate". I find this somewhat disappointing.
I have found in my years as a teacher in mundane life that in almost all cases, if a student asks a question, they do not know the answer. So, I answer the question. Over and over and over again. That is part of the job. People who don't like answering what seem to be stupid or repetitive questions, don't last long as teachers.
I find in MY kingdom office, at any rate, that I am answering the same questions over and over again. I work with children. They don't seem to get an answer until they have heard it at least ten times. I don't mind, really, even though it is occasionally frustrating. It goes with job. I have found in mundane life that many adults, at least in this regard, are actually nothing more than children in big bodies.
Now, maybe all the folk that get involved in the SCA are different. Scadians never ask stupid or repetitive questions, and an answer needs to be given only once, and scadians all read all of the documents, and understand them completely on first reading. There is peace and harmony everywhere, nobody ever disagrees on anything, and all is copacetic. Somehow, I do not think this is so.
In fact, all one needs to do is read this list, to find that it is indeed not so.
This would be my request to all,?officers and populace alike.?You are of course free to ignore this request, as we are all part of a volunteer organization. If someone asks a question, and you know the answer, well then, answer it. Someone else besides the asker does not know the answer, and would appreciate a straightforward answer. If you are one that is annoyed by either the question, or the asker, well then, don't answer.?The SCA is promoted as an educational organization. That means questions, and answers, no matter how idiotic they may seem to someone, are part of the job.

I thank Your Grace for Your time and courtesy in responding, I can only say that
the questions posted are in general for all Kingdom Officers, I neither expected
nor requested that You be the designated answerer.? If Your Grace feels that
this discussion is a waste of Your time, You can drop out of it at any time,
that is Your perogative.? If none of the other Kingdom Officers feel like
answering, that is their perogative.

That throughly answers the question, that it is indeed an unwritten rule.

I apologize for whatever posting of mine that You felt was asking You to be my
"errand boy", that was not my intent.? My intent, as I hope was clear, was to
engender discussion of questions that people have asked me in the past, and that
I have wondered myself.? Yes, I am quite familiar with what the governing
do
cuments say on a variety of things, and know where to look to get the
"official" answer to my questions, but as we've already seen the official word
and the "real world" don't always mesh, and quite simply my previous experience
has been that if I post a quotation of governing documents, the posting and my
intent with it are immediately called into question, regardless of the original
point.? I had hoped to keep the focus of this on Kingdom Officers' Warrants, but
it doesn't look like it will stay that way.

I absolutely agree that if someone has a major issue with any officer they
should talk to that officer, and yes I am aware that it is part of the grievance
process, but not everyone actually reads Corpora or any of the other governing
documents, so as I said before it **may** reveal a legitimate concern that
hasn't been brought forward before, but that is actually neither here nor
there-?at no point did I recommend that it be done, I simply asked if any
Kingdom Officers *were* doing it (please see my first post for reference).

I agree, it is a short list, I was of the impression that asking Kingdom
Officers to discuss the change-over process in part might encourage more folk to
take interest.? Instead I find that apparently only Knights should be Ear
l
Marshal and only a Laurel should be Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences,
despite what it says in the governing documents. and that my broaching the topic
has resulted in reducing the available pool for each office?substantially.
I'm sure that I have once again offended a magnitude of people, as per usual.?
If I have offended you, follow the correct Greivance Procedure and talk directly
to me, please, and?leave my Pelicans out of it.? The number of people who
complained to them last time and didn't say "boo" to me was absolutely
ridiculous.
