[Artemisia] UPDATE: SCA at Kandahar in Afghanistan--rapier gear!

Greetings!
Here is an update on my earlier posts regarding SCA members serving in
Afghanistan who were asking for Rapier equipment:

HL Donwenna La Mareschale has asked this: "Duchess Katerina O'Callaghan
could you please be so kind as to let the folks on your Elist know of these
good Gentles who have been kind enough to send us fighting gear at Kandahar
AirField (KAF) in Afghanistan. Our fighters include: US-- Army, Marines,
National Guard, and AirForce; Coalition forces -Canadian, British, and
Scottish; and various Contract workers. Some already are SCA members and
others are learning about SCA.  Our email list is

I would add my own thank you to Donwenna's. I think troops playing SCA
Rapier in Afghanistan is an example of the best the SCA can offer: joyful
recreation and diversion during stressful times.
