My brother Alvaro informs me that Somerville Manor would like to re-open in
Utah. A medieval living history museum/bed-and-breakfast would be really
cool! They need our support if they are to do this. My brother forwarded
me this info and I thought I'd pass on the info in hopes that we can get the
support of the SCA folks. If you are on Facebook, please "friend" William
FitzArthur. And please pass this on to any SCA email lists in our glorious
Kingdom that I'm not on.
Obrigada,
Lianor

Dear Family, Friends, Associates, and the Friends of Friends;
I believe that the time is right to re-establish Somerville Manor as a
landed medieval open air museum. Most of you know my integrity and
committment to this idea from the old Somerville Manor. Land prices are
falling and local governments are more open to business that can bring in
sales tax revenue to their tax-base. The new site will be larger than the
first Somerville manor and will be formed as a Limited Liability Company. It
will employ at least 20 full-time staff and about 30 part-time staff and it
will be built here in Utah. There are four different sites under
consideration. I believe it will be very successful. To help convince the
rather skeptical Small Business Administration and other large investors,
that this is something the public will support, I am asking the following
from each of you:
1. That those who can support the idea become a friend of "William
FitzArthur" on Face-book and read the material about the new Somerville
Manor there. The email for the face-book page is
williamfitzarthur at gmail.commy goal
is 10,000 friends of the face-book site.
2. That you make a written pledge on face-book to donate to the Somerville
manor re-building fund the value of your next junk-food snack. By skipping
the snack you will be no less poor than before, and a tad healthier.
Plus you would be providing a tangible support that carries weight with the
SBA and large investors. Please don’t send any money now, just a written
pledge on facebook that you will be willing to make good on at a later date.
3. That you actively share this e-mail with your friends and encourage them
to participate as well. That your friends will share with their friends.
