Youth combat can "officially" begin at age 6, although private instruction at home is highly encouraged before this. I have no idea about the page school stuff, but we started our kids earlier than age 6, with no problems. Start working on getting together his helmet, sword, shield, and other gear now, so he is used to it when the big day comes.

So drawing a blank here after way too much time off: at what age do children 
start their waster tournies and page school and the like? David's turning 6 at 
the end of July and is driving me crazy about getting in and starting to fight.  
I know 5 is way too young still but can't remember when "the good stuff" starts 
so I can tell him when he can get into beating people up with nice padded 
sticks. :)  Thanks!
